Addictive blogging...

Over the past few months I have tried to go "cold turkey" by limiting the amount of time I spend on social networks...instead I focused on completing my book. Now that I have taken the decision to publish I decided to make an effort to promote my book and talk about what I am doing. Both of these are a real challenge since I really should be editing my second book. But, I have no idea whether blogging is a good way to promote myself. What are your experiences? Does anyone care? If I'm honest I didn't care, or thought I did, but I have been blogging for over a year on The Word Cloud so what's the difference? None. It's just that here it's just little old me and unless someone write a comment I am in limbo. So, I shall post as a diary, for experimental purposes, and see where this takes me. If anyone is interested or cares please let me know, and if you do read my book I'd love to hear your views. Thanks a lot. Vanessa :) p.s. The Hunger Games was an interesting film...I have to read the books now - I bet they are better than the films!

An eventful day...

Today I spent the day at the beach and then took the kids's tropical here. Sunny hot weather in march in England - I promise, I am not joking! Anyway, I had a brilliant time and really enjoyed it...hardly any stress, which considering I had 4 kids with me is saying something. When I got home, I saw loads of messages and a few more book sales - again, something to smile about. And now i'm going out to see The Hunger Games with my hubby...again, not something that happens every day. Sometimes the rainbow stretches out the whole day...may it continue... Hope you all had a great day too. Vanessa xx

A confession...

I am new to the whole blogging thing...and I have to admit that I am amazed by the is so cool to be able to track what country someone is in when they viewed my blog...sorry if this is normal to a lot of you, but it's exciting to me! Hello to whoever was in Canada, Germany and Gibraltar ... I'll be back in gib next week, looking forward to it! Thanks for reading... Vanessa xx

So I decided to go for it!

Well, I was going to wait some more... but then I thought "what's the point?" So I self published last night and I have sold 4 books cool... Whoever you are, thank made my day.  Let me know how you got on, did you like it?  Would you like to read more?  The sequel is written and in need of an edit... I guess I should get into that now.

For those of you who don't know me, a little sneak peak... I love to read paranormal romance and thrillers... so if you have any suggestions please let me know.

At the moment it looks like I'm about to sink my teeth into The Hunger might take the edge off my obsession with Twilight. (groan... I hear some of you say)  I will not apologise for this, if it have not been for an interview I saw of Stephenie Meyer I would never have started writing...I owe her one.  Since I started to escape into fiction I've been a happier person.  And I hope you like what I write as much as I enjoyed writing it...

Thanks for reading!
